I would almost be willing to learn Chinese if a joystick would appear as a controller option.

i can add joystick in controller option ,
But on a site it will be displayed as gamepad.

I think that it will not suit you.
Probably, if will be much nfs players with joystick controller on a site will appear.

I use two joysticks, (CH Products USB joysticks), similar to radio control transmitter, left for throttle+brake, right for steer. Shift doesn't have a "joystick" setting, just some predefined controllers, a generic gamepad and a generic wheel setting. Other than the default values, all of these appear to be implemented in the same way. I can start with generic gamepad or generic wheel, set the deadzones and sensitivies, and the gameplay seems identical for either case. An old picture of this setup:

You can scroll to the end of the list in controller settings and remap every button in the game (if that's what you are asking).

Also, yes, client is working fine, NA version of Shift, cracked game from RELOADED torrent. Awesome little program INFEL8, I wish I knew of it when I played NFSU2. Thanks,

Try what? I already mentioned that I tested using generic gamepad setup and generic wheel setup and they ended up being the same once I adjusted the values like deadzone. I'm not submitting world records, I was just responding to Trilegdog.
